Special Project For Police, Criminal
Justice Professionals
& Customs Officers
FGCC partnering with the Department of Criminal Justice, College
of Health and Human Services of California State University Sacramento and
California Commission of Peace Officer Standard and Training (POST) jointly
organized special training for Police, Customs officer and Criminal Justice
Professionals. This program consists of
English Conversation for Police, Customer Officer and Criminal Justice
Professional, introductory course in Criminal Justice and a conference to
introduce the issues involved in Human Rights, which had become an expanding
concern as a result of the promulgation of the new Thai constitution.
The training courses consist of both short and long term
curriculum, certificate & in the future degree offered jointly by
California State University and FGCC.

Community College is a new model of higher education institute
in Thailand to be owned by the community and to serve its community genuinely,
to offer academic and professional training for the residents who are workforce
of the community.
Since the establishment of FGCC, we have trained more than 3000
personnel from both public and private sector of the community.
Most of our trainees are teachers of English, doctors, nurses,
monks, village headmen, leaders of community and police officers.
In the year 2000, we will include additional courses such as
Local Administration Management, Management of Tambon Council, Eco-Tourism -
Homestay, Farmstay, Bed & Breakfast, language & culture of Mekong Countries
Participating lecturers will be from our partners according to
the Philosophy of Partnership and Participation that FGCC recognizes. Therefore, our participating lecturers
consist of professors, professionals & specialists of each field from abroad
and locally; so as to broaden the horizon of our trainees.

By upholding and exercising the philosophy of partnership and participation, FGCC has been able to link up “partnership” with more institutions of higher learning in USA & UK than any universities in Thailand.
FGCC has received more than 7 rectors and 70 professors from the US & UK universities. In addition, we also have visiting students from US, Japan and Spain learning and doing internship in increasing number each year.
In the year 2000, FGCC plans to accommodate up to 100 overseas students who will attend courses for at least one full term.
